mounting an f4 in a 98 sawyer

Recommended Posts

I have a 98 sawyer with an f3 and Im going to an f4. it appears the rear motor mount on the engine will hit my frame. do I need to remove this from the motor? is there different mounts that move the motor way forward? any help would be great.

Your F3 mount will not work, you will need to get a F4 kit from Sawyer.

Yes the you will need to cut off the mount that has the big hole running threw it off with a reciprocal Saw, it is the mount that faces the rear of the car!

If you need help give me a call and maybe I can walk you through getting it done!

Also if you are needing any f4 stuff I have a complete F4 motor with 2 sets of carbs and misc parts for sale.

If you do not have the correct motor mounts, I think I still have ours that fit our 2003.
